Oscar Fever: L.A.

  1. Guardare i surfisti e i tipi strani che popolano Venice Beach
  6. Feste in piscina e barbecues
  7. I French tuesdays
  8.  I negozi vintage  di Melrose Avenue
  9. I concerti all' Hollywood Bowl
  10. La  vista di L.A. dal Getty Center

The 84th Academy Awards Ceremony took place in Los Angeles two days ago, Oscar for the best movie to The Artist, totally deserved, in my opinion. One of the most enchanting movies in the last years. All this talking about movies, Oscar and Hollywood brought my memory back to a wonderul summer of a couple of years ago that I spent in the city of angels. I have beautiful memories about L.A. and California, two places always been extremely fascinating for us young italians (and I guess I can say young europeans). Los Angeles is not one of the beautiful cities I've ever visited, but, all this sun, this green, and that sensation of freedom that you can feel, make it a pleasant place to live and where it's easy to be in a good mood. Here it is my personal list of the best of L.A.

  1. Watching the surfers and the weird guys in Venice Beach
  2. Reading a book on Santa Monica beach
  3. Have lunch in Long beach during one of the many sunny sundays
  4. Getting to Rodeo Drive by a convertible car and spending the rest of the day walking around the amazing shops
  5. Have dinner at Yamashiro (the most beautiful japanese restaurant I ever seen ) on Hollywood Hills
  6. Swimming pool parties and barbecues
  7. The French tuesdays
  8. Vintage shops in Melrose Avenue
  9. Concerts at Hollywood Bowl
  10. View of L.A. from the Getty Center                                 (click on read more for more pictures)

Indian presents

You can't always travel whenever you want. When you have roots, daily life involves you fully (that's not always a bad thing) and so we need to find something else to let us travel..personally, books, art, movies, music and losing myself trough unexplored Roman alleys (they never end!!) are my planes. Sometimes We can travel simply listening to our friends and relatives' travel adventures, with the help of little presents, always welcomed! :) These come very fresh from New Dehili, India. What do you think about them?? I loved them at first sight!! I've never been to India but for sure it's among my future travel projects, have you ever been there? Share your impressions!
