A day in Bangkok!

Some years ago, in occasion of a trip to Australia, I stopped halfway in Bangkok for 24 hours; of course a day wasn't enough to discover the city, but it gave me the chance to make myself an impression of Thailand, a Country where I hadn't have been before....Bangkok is a strange city, caotic, full of cars and tuk-tuks (the thai taxis), full of places, along the streets, where you can buy food made at the moment... It's a city very fascinating for its contradictions....probably you have listened about its "dark side", anyway since I didn't explore this side of the city (with the exception of watching "The Hangover 2" ;D),  I'm showing you some pictures about the beautiful buddhist temples that I visited, included the one where it's located the famous giant gold Buddha....

If I remember well, these figures are showing some important points in Thai massage...but I'm not
                sure!

Lake Balaton

Ciao a tutti! Today I'm going to speak about a touristic summer place that is very popular in Eastern Europe  but probably not very well known in general, this place is the Lake Balaton...it is the largest lake in Eastern Europe and it's located in Hungary. Since Hungary (also called Magyarország) doesn't have it's own sea  and coasts, this lake is called "The Hungarian Sea"; almost all Magyars spend their summer holidays at Lake Balaton. SiófokKeszthely, and Balatonfüred are the major resorts towns. I visited only Siófok, where I spent a very funny week with some friends a couple of years ago....Siófok is also known as the party capital of Lake Balaton and called "The Ibiza of Eastern Europe". It's full of very nice restaurants, cafes and night clubs, so a place where for sure you won't get bored! Not only the nights in Siófok are funny but also there are many things to do during the day...boat trips, sailing, bathing (the water is quite warm) and it's pleasant just sun tanning on the grass of the parks near the lake......in short, it's a place that I really recommend to visit in summer if you're in Hungary....see you soon with another post!

Centre Georges Pompidou

Hello people!! Today's post is about the Centre Georges Pompidou, that I visited recently during a short escape to Paris! I'm a big fan of modern and contemporary art, so for me it was a real pleasure to visit this cultural centre. Probably many of you know that this museum was warmly wanted by  French President Georges Pompidou, who launched, in the late 60s, the idea of creating a new cultural institution in Paris dedicated to modern art. The building was designed, among the others, by the italian architect Renzo Piano ( proud of ;D). Anyway, this amazing cultural centre is not only a museum, it has also a library, a movie theatre, a book shop and a panoramic terrace; speaking about panoramic terrace, on the top floor of the Centre Pompidou you can find the Georges Cafè and restaurant, an enchanting place with one of the best views of Paris!

Moreton Island

Hello everybody! My name's Lucia, I'm an italian girl blogging from Rome. Travelling has always been a big passion in my life, that's why I decided to start this blog in a boring sunday afternoon of November... This first post will be about one of the most amazing places I've ever been...Moreton Island, a sand island on the eastern side of Moreton Bay, on the coast of south-east Queensland, Australia. This island is about 58 km from Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland and it's the largest sand structure in the world!!
