From the snow to the desert and to the sky

Last Dubai post. Another trip has come to an end. We spent the last 2 days in one of the funniest cities in the world, between the snow and the desert and breathtaking landscapes. Who loves mountains may not appreciate the Ski Dubai...I  absolutely had to try it.....walking trought the snow with -4 °C while outside the temperature was about 40 °C and throwing snowballs against people observing us from the windows, during a break from their shopping, was an experience I couldn't not doing. No problem if you can't ski, there are sleds! If you want to warm up, you can drink a hot chocolate in front of a nice fireplace (artificial, of course!) chez the close cafè Saint Moritz!;)

That same afternoon, after taking off our skisuit, a jeep pick us up for the most classical desert tour. In Dubai there are several desert tours, also organized by the hotels, prices are in general similar, anyway the hotel tours are more expensive.....I suggest you to have look in the old Dubai, where there are touristic agencies who organize a little cheaper tours. By the way, all these desert tours provide jeep tour among the dunes, with chance to stop to take pictures at the sunset, buffet dinner, dance show, hennè tattoos, ride on the camel and narghilè. Even if all of this sounds very touristic, the desert at sunset is always charming.....

Our week in Dubai couldn't end without visiting the symbol of the city, the one and only seven stars hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab! Friday brunch at the Al Muntaha restaurant, inside the sail, is a must; amazing view of Dubai, extreme kindness of the staff, soft live music, the best of international cuisine.
